Maricelle is a full-time ceramicist, who spends her time during the week making works for exhibitions in her beautiful sun-lit studio situated at the Canberra Potters Society in Watson, ACT. Maricelle cherishes her space where ideas come to life surrounded by old and new experimental works, amongst a forest of luscious indoor plants. Maricelle's work is a unique cross-cultural expression between her birthplace of South Africa and the landscape of Australia. She hand-builds large vessels and throws smaller works on the wheel, adorning her work with colourful patterns using underglazes with drawings or scratchings of individual lines.
